Songstress Rikku
Reference:

Video game: Final Fantasy X-2
Debuted: Katsucon 2004
Worn at: Katsucon 2004, Ohayocon 2005
Notes: This was my very first full-on sewing project, so it took
me a lot longer than it should have the first time around. But overall I am
really happy with the little improvements I did to it after making it for
Katsucon 2004. I got the chance to fix a lot of things about the costume that
bugged me. However, I wish I would have tinted the ruffles purple at the tips,
and done the leg crosses better. I did have a ton of fun in this costume
every single time I wore it. Fun little costume indeed! I hope to completely
remake it some day.
Ohayocon 2005:
This was before I had my real Rikku wig. The hair extensions didn't
turn out that great this time around. Our friend
Lionel
made us microphones -they had two-way radios inside
them, and we had a blast talking to each other from different sides of the
convention center!
I made a songstress Yuna costume for my best friend Meriely, and a songstress
Paine for our stuffed monkey Ham Ham. We did a photo shoot with Kyle Johnson of
Cosplay.com together. To see the full shoot go
